Team Member Spotlight: Matt Duby

Meet Matt, Sr. Digital Marketing Strategist!
Hi! I’m Matt Duby, Sr. Digital Marketing Strategist at Fountain Digital. I work with our clients on Paid Media and SEO to help reach their business goals through comprehensive strategies and by optimizing their paid and organic efforts.
Q: Can you share a bit about your background and how it led you to where you are today?
I graduated from Penn State with a major in marketing. I’ve always been interested in e-commerce, digital marketing, and online entrepreneurship. I started my career in the outdoor retailer eCommerce industry and have worked in various B2C and B2B eCommerce/paid media roles since. In my early career, I had a handful of client-side roles and have since moved to the agency side, which has given me a great understanding of both perspectives.
Q: What do you enjoy most about being a part of the Fountain Digital team?
Fountain is a great team; everyone is very talented and good at what they do. I enjoy being able to work with this team and multiple clients in different industries with different challenges. Being on the agency side, I have learned a lot about different industries at a much faster pace than I would on the client side.
Q: What is your favorite part of digital marketing?
My favorite part about digital marketing is working with clients on their paid media strategies. From initially discussing their goals, developing a media plan, implementing the plan, and ultimately driving success. It’s rewarding to help clients achieve their digital marketing goals and to see the optimizations/recommendations improve their ROI.
Q: What’s the first thing you’d do if you woke up with the ability to time travel?
I’d probably travel into the future to see what is in store for the world, what technology and advancements are to come, where life will take me, and maybe some winning lottery numbers…
Q: If you could plan your dream vacation anywhere in the world, where would you go, and what would you do?
I would probably plan a trip to Alaska to see the expansive wilderness and wildlife. Things I’d like to do while I was there would be sightseeing, finding good food, hiking, skiing, and some kind of hunting/fishing trip.
